Jaguar EV Background

As one of the best-known luxury car brands in the world, Jaguar had a pretty turbulent history. However, regardless of the situation, this famous company has always strived to offer its customers something better, faster, and more advanced. After several concept cars that feature hybrid technology, Jaguar took a giant leap forward in 2018 when it introduced the I-Pace. It was their first all-electric model, which immediately proved successful with zero-emission crowd. This was a brave move for a company that concentrated solely on ICE models and a testament to Jaguar's dedication. We at Voldt were fascinated by this model and still consider it one of the best such cars on the market. That is why we developed a lineup of advanced charging cable solutions for Jaguar I-Pace and PHEV models.

Jaguar EV Models

The Jaguar I-Pace, the sole 100% EV model in Jaguar's lineup, stands out with its unique features. It's a sporty-looking crossover with a powerful battery, dual electric motors, and impressive performance. As a Jaguar, it exudes luxury with its upscale interior features and materials. Despite its 2018 debut, it maintains a fresh and dynamic look, and its performance figures keep it relevant in the modern EV market. Developing charging cable solutions for this exceptional model was a true delight for our company.

Jaguar EV Technology

Jaguar claims that the I-Pace is a "five-seat sports car," and by looking at its performance, it really is. Jaguar's Formula E racing efforts influenced some of its electric car drive train components. The I-Pace is powered by a massive 90 kWh battery, which translates to 400 hp sent to two electric motors, front and rear. Interestingly, since this car was an early effort, it wasn't available with DC charging until the 2020 model year. However, since then, Jaguar included a fast charging option for the I-Pace. The AC charging rate is 11 kW, while DC charging is up to 100 kW. The battery pack is liquid-cooled due to its high capacity and heat generated during charging or spirited driving. When it was launched, the I-Pace won numerous awards and broke several EV performance records, showing how sound the engineering behind this car is. We at Voldt can enhance the ownership experience with our charging cables. Schuko and Commando sockets are available.
