Aiways EV Models

After the introduction of a couple of remarkable concept cars, Aiways has transitioned to the production of their first road-going models. The company's range currently includes the Aiways U5, a modern-looking crossover SUV with ample space and intriguing features, and the U6, a sporty crossover with a dynamic appearance and a lower roofline. The U5 is designed for family buyers who require a modern electric SUV with a sufficient range, while the U6 is more suited for those who desire a sporty appearance and the latest tech. Some have noted that the U6 bears a resemblance to the Polestar 2, and there are indeed some similarities. Aiways EV Technology

Both vehicles are built on the same platform but with different body styles, interiors, and features. They also share the same mechanical layout, which consists of a single electric motor powering the front wheels, which are connected to a 63 kWh battery pack. The power output is also the same, and Aiways U5 and U6 both deliver 201 hp, which is enough for decent performance and claimed range of up to 310 km. The lithium-ion battery has 400 v architecture and can withstand AC and DC charging. When charged in AC mode, the Aiways U5 and U6 can top 100% of battery capacity in about 11 hours at a 6.6 kW rate.
